REFERENCE II LINE
MasterBuilt Reference II Line is aptly named, since it is superior to most of the hyper-expensive cables on the market that were once thought to be “references.” Indeed, the Reference II Line will surpass your expectations, since it utilizes aerospace signal transmission technology not available in any other brand. Features such as laboratory-grade 6N (99.9999%) pure copper manufactured in the U.S. for mission-critical applications, proprietary winding geometry to reduce interference, along with extremely precise-fitting connectors made from exotic materials, the Reference II Line of audio cables was designed for the finest quality of stereo components. If you desire sound quality of the highest caliber, you owe it to yourself to invest in the MasterBuilt Reference II Line.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT POWER CORDS: Audiophiles should realize that the first component in the system is the power cord. This “first component” must be distortion-free and able to conduct a very large amount of current and voltage into the component. It is known that the musical signal consists of voltage and current sourced from the a.c. wall outlet, and the electrical components simply “modulate” that power into a musical waveform. Improperly designed power cords will add distortion or remove quality of the signal. For that reason, a high quality and non-reactive cable should be used; once the signal has been corrupted, it is impossible to reverse this damage regardless of the quality of components that follow.
Although affordable, the Reference II Line power cords can elevate your system to a performance level you might not previously think possible. This is due to the inherent ability of Reference II Line power cords to filter out EMI and RFI to an amazing degree. This drastically lowers the noise level of your system while also ‘super charging’ your components with enormous levels of dynamic range combined with ultra-high resolution of fine detail. The Reference II power cord has a large gauge wire utilizing high purity U.S. laboratory grade copper with state-of-the-art insulation and greater complex winding geometry to significantly reduce both magnetic and RFI signals. Lastly, this cable is terminated with pure copper Rhodium platted conductors with ceramic particle damping to eliminate vibration resonance. For this reason, Reference II Line power cord will dramatically improve your sound quality, no matter what brand and model of power cord you’re presently using.

INTERCONNECTS
The name says it all, this is The reference for high-end audio cable. You may ask how we can state this so positively. It’s simple – our engineers employ the world’s best signal transmission technology using proprietary methods developed for the U.S. aerospace industry. Audiophiles understand that musical signals are delicate due to the very low voltages from the source and thus can be damaged by “average” quality interconnects which are not optimized for critical applications. These weak electrical signals must be transferred from source to amplifier, and any distortion in the form of reactance or low quality materials will distort or color the signal. To prevent reactive distortion to the music, the handcrafted and built to order Reference II series utilize advanced engineering concepts and materials which are not available to the average audio cable company. A brief comparison to the world’s most expensive competitors’ interconnects will prove this to you.

DIGITAL CABLES
Even though the digital binary bit stream is robust, there are many ways this signal can be corrupted by low quality cables. Our digital cables are design to have an optimized impedance as per the type of cables: SPDIF ~ 75ohm; USB ~ 90ohm; AES/EBU ~ 110ohm. The benefit of our cable design, high grade conductors, and materials translate to a digital cable with low jitter and attenuation loss. These digital cables utilize the same proprietary methods and high quality components as the rest of the Reference II Line to deliver the purest bit stream from your source.

SPEAKER CABLES
Improperly designed “Audiophile” cables will significantly degrade your system’s performance. Many introduce reactance which is caused by the inductance, capacitance, and resistance inherent in cables that carry a positive and negative signal in close proximity.

MasterBuilt’s Reference II Line Speaker Cables were designed utilizing aerospace signal path technology used in highly technical electronics, such as satellites and human fairing mission critical craft. Therefore, these cables transmit the music signal with neutral purity, dynamic authority, and near-zero distortion.

Reference II Line Speaker Cables perform well above their class and have the ability to scale with the highest performing systems. As a true “reference” cable, they allow you to hear the true properties and characteristics of your electronics and speakers, no matter the brand or model. Handcrafted in the U.S. and built to order, these award winning cables will startle you with the immense difference you’ll gain in sound quality.
